The Best Way To Contact Airbnb
The Help Center is the best way to contact Airbnb.
As a guest, this is where you’ll receive support and find information regarding various topics. Airbnb hosts and rental companies can also receive help with their listings and accounts here. As an Airbnb guest, log in to your account first, so information displayed in the Help Center is tailored to your own bookings.

How To Call Airbnb By Phone
(For Customer Service Support Help)
Calling Airbnb’s support team is the best option if you have an urgent, time-sensitive matter. Airbnb has country-specific phone numbers based on location. The hotlines can assist you with various issues, from booking to technical support. In my own experience, calls typically began with 5 to 15 minutes of wait time before I am able to speak with someone directly. *In my research for this guide, it seems that Airbnb does not provide all its international numbers on one page, so I compiled this list myself. I hope it helps!

How To Message/Email Airbnb
(For Customer Service Support Help)
Messaging Airbnb is best used for matters that are not time-sensitive. From my research, it seems that Airbnb does not publicly provide a support email address for guests to contact them directly. Instead, text support is conducted via Airbnb’s site/app (after you’ve signed in). To message Airbnb, click your account icon in the upper-right, then select “Messages” from the drop-down menu.
From here, you’ll be directed to your inbox, where you can converse with Airbnb’s support bot.
Airbnb’s Live Chat Support Bot
Airbnb’s chat bot assists with common customer service issues and usually responds within minutes. In my experience, the human support team (via phone) is much better at comprehending customer issues than the Airbnb bot. Hopefully Airbnb can improve the bot’s abilities going forward.

How To Contact Your Host Directly
After you’ve booked an Airbnb stay, you can call or message your host directly (host and guest contact information is hidden before the booking is made). To find your Airbnb host’s contact information, click your Account icon in the upper-right corner, then select “Trips” from the drop-down menu.
Then, click on your upcoming reservation. On the reservation page, click “Call host” or “Message host”. By clicking “Call host”, your host’s phone number will appear on the following page. Click “Message host” to begin a text conversation with your host (in your account inbox).
What If Your Host Doesn’t Respond?
If your host is unresponsive for 24 hours after you attempted to call or message them, notify Airbnb’s Help Center. From here, Airbnb may take the case into its own hands. The site has policies that penalize or ban hosts who are poor/evasive communicators.

How To Contact The Resolution Center
Ideally, guests and hosts are able to easily resolve most of their conflicts between themselves. However, if you and your host are unable to reach an agreement regarding an issue, you can file a claim in Airbnb’s Resolution Center. The Resolution Center helps guests with issues regarding payments, refunds, security deposits, complaints and more. In my own experience, I’ve always received a response from the Resolution Center within 24 to 48 hours of initiating a case.
*As an Airbnb guest, it’s a good idea to keep a trail of text communication with your host (via Airbnb, SMS, WhatsApp, email, etc.) in case a dispute arises.
How To Contact Emergency Support
If you need help regarding an emergency, you can message Airbnb through its Help Center or Neighbors page - both operate 24/7 and work globally. If warranted, consider contacting local law enforcement authorities. In my research for creating this guide, it doesn’t seem Airbnb provides a public emergency hotline phone number for its guests.
Extenuating Circumstances vs. Personal Emergencies
On Airbnb, “extenuating circumstances” cover events that affect large numbers of people, such as natural disasters (fires, hurricanes, etc.), government-imposed travel restrictions, visa policy changes or violent outbreaks. If an issue like this occurs in your destination, you’re likely eligible for a full or partial refund if you must cancel your booking.
However, extenuating circumstances do not include personal emergencies, like illnesses, injuries or family emergencies. If you cancel a booking due to personal emergency, you won’t be entitled to a refund. To learn how refunds work on Airbnb (including extenuating circumstances), read this guide.
